Randy Ziegenfuss ’87
Randy Ziegenfuss ’87 values tradition, but also believes strongly in transformation. His connection to Moravian runs deep and spans decades. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree in 1987, laying the foundation for a lifelong journey in education and leadership. Today, he serves as Professor of Practice, Chair of the Education Department, and Director of the Ed.D. program, where he continues to guide and collaborate with educators who are passionate about transforming their schools, institutions, workplaces and communities.
Randy supports Moravian with a recurring gift and, through legacy giving, provides future students with the same transformational experience Moravian gave to him.
“As a first-generation college student, Moravian opened doors I didn’t even know existed,” he says. “I experienced firsthand the many gifts that come from a university education—the chance to grow as a musician and a person, discover a passion for teaching, and become part of a community that values both tradition and innovation.”
By including Moravian in your will or trust or as a beneficiary of a retirement asset, you can help ensure that future generations have the same opportunities to learn and grow—opportunities that have meant so much to others, like Randy.
“I’ve devoted my career to educational transformation, and I believe that supporting Moravian is one powerful way to keep that transformation alive for future generations,” Randy says. “Giving back to Moravian is my way of saying thank you and ensuring that generations to come can find their spark here, just as I did.”
